Diplo is capable of anything, we all know that by now. Which is why when his hip-hop month mix hit the internet we couldn’t help but dissect it and share some of the hottest records. This dude is like the ultimate DJ, maybe not technically, but the in the sense that he can mix sets based around seemingly any genre. How can you not dig it?
This two-hour long set touches on a lot of different artists, old and new, including J Dilla, Big L, Biggie, 2Pac, Mr Carmack and Tyler The Creator, to name a few. You’ll probably run into a few tracks that you’ve never heard below. Though, after sifting through our selections don’t forget to bump the mix in its entirety. It should serve as a nice break from EDM and a fresh journey into something different.
