The teacher of twerk, the dropper of derrieres, the king of keisters, Diplo, has joined the “1 Million Likes” club on Facebook. He joins an elite fellowship of DJ/Producers that includes names like Hardwell, Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, and Bassnectar, among others.
Diplo is one of the most recognizable names in Electronic Music, and his sphere of influence within the genre is second to none. He founded and owns the Mad Decent record label that touts a huge list of high profile names like Baauer, Dillon Francis, and Zeds Dead to name a few. He also has the massively successful side project Major Lazer with Walshy Fire and Jillionaire, and recently formed Jack U with Skrillex. Somehow he also finds time to host a weekly radio show on BBC that features some of the premier upcoming DJs in the world of Electronic Music. Oh, and he is on the road nonstop playing shows all over the world. He must love sleeping on planes or bought himself one of those ostrich head things.
To thank his fans, Diplo released a free 9 track Bootleg Pack. He collaborated with a bunch of names like ETC! ETC! and Grandtheft, and some lesser known like TeenWolf and Davoodi. The collection of songs includes original compositions like “Diplo’s Theme” and “Pull Up Dat Booty,” while also including remixes of some of his famous tracks “Biggie Bounce” and “Express Yourself.” The compilation is a fun mix of trap and dance hall songs with a broad range of sounds, check it out below, and if you haven’t already, go like him on Facebook!
