Dirtybird Brings the Heat & Good Eats to LA [Event Review]

Over this past weekend on Cinco De Mayo, DirtyBird hosted their second BBQ stop of the year to promote their DirtyBird Campout, occurring later this year. The BBQ tour started on Saturday, May 4 in Alameda, and we were lucky enough to catch the second stop on Sunday, May 5 in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles music fans were treated to a fun night filled with delicious BBQ, fun games and activities, and the bumping sounds of DirtyBird’s biggest and best DJ’s. It was the perfect way to celebrate Cinco De Mayo in Los Angeles

As we trickled into the outside venue, we were immediately welcomed by the vibrant and enthusiastic sounds of the Fungineers, the self-proclaimed engineers of a brand new kind of fun meant for everyone. Set up in an energetic ice-cream truck, the super group of “musical magical weirdoes” brilliantly created a fantastically colorful welcome to all the guests who were coming in.

After experiencing one of the funnest sets at a festival from the Fungineers, we took a quick little stroll to Sizzle Stage, where we saw the head honcho, Claude Von Stroke grooving on stage with some dancers as fans were playing Bingo around the stage. The Sizzle Stage also included a water balloon toss and many other games and activities that awarded prizes to attendees.

Then came the heavy hitters who performed on the main DirtyBird stage. DirtyBird players: Justin Jay, Justin Martin, Walker & Royce, Sacha Robotti, Claude Von Stroke, and a special b2b set from Wyatt Marshall and Lubelski all graced the stage to play amazing sets to the massive Los Angeles crowd.

This is definitely one of the best mini festivals we’ve ever been to and it’s definitely something you won’t want to miss! The vibes, food, and music make this event one of the greatest of the year!
