Watch out New York, there’s a flock of wild birds coming to take over the big city. This November 3, the iconic Dirtybird Players event will be debuting in NYC in an undisclosed warehouse location (because where else?) The event follows in the footsteps of the infamous Dirtybird Campout that took place in Southern California this October and will head to the East Coast in February.
Players like label-head Claude Vonstroke, Shiba San, J.Philip, Walker & Royce, Fisher and a slew of special guests will pile into the warehouse location for an underground evening of funky tech-house, bumping basslines, and more grooves than we previously thought possible. The event is produced by NYC based party-curators TekSupport, a group that has been working to infuse techno and house music into the NYC nightlife scene since their inception in 2013.
Expect lots of new material at this underground affair, like tracks from rising tech-house stars Walker and Royce’s debut album Self Help. The highly awaited album released on October 20 includes 11 new tracks by the two blooming Dirtybirds, and is certain to shake up the dancefloor and introduce some new moves to your shuffling routine. Shiba San is another Dirtybird who has been busy in the studio releasing collaborative EP “Fearless” with house and techno legend Green Velvet, out October 20.
Now that you have the low-down on the latest Dirtybird festivities, get your mind in the proper party zone by listening to some of the latest Dirtybird tracks below, and get your body for an evening of all-night grooving in the city that never sleeps.
