With an album as cohesive and consistent as Settle, Disclosure could probably release every song off the album as a single throughout the coming year. However, laziness does not define the prolific Disclosure brothers. At their recent Terminal 5 show in New York, the one and only Mary J. Blige came out to sing the vocals of the song “F For You.” Turns out her guest appearance hinted at more than just a cameo.
This morning, Disclosure posted a teaser video of a new version of “F For You” with Mary J. Blige crooning the song’s vocals. Originally sung by the Disclosure brothers, this new cut of “F For You” offers a very unique take on the catchy track. Disclosure clearly possesses an affinity for hip-hop, from opening their Essential Mix with songs from Q-Tip to recently producing a track for rapper Bishop Nehru. After gaining more prominence over the past year, it is great to see the UK-based group collaborate with a soulful R&B singer.
Check back here for the full single tomorrow morning.
