Marking his third release this year after March’s fierce tech house gem “U Dunno,” Charlotte-based producer and DJ has returned with “Lucky Charm.” An infectious record, driven by sultry vocals and groovy house production, “Lucky Charm” nicely blends the barrier between UK garage and tech house vibes, making up for a tune that is bound to assist in Diskull’s upwards trajectory moving forward. As the artist explained about his inspiration behind the single:
“Lucky Charm” is a track I made when I was going through a lot during the winter. I had a ton going on personally and music was the only way to distract me and convey my emotions. I really wanted to make something different than what I normally make, something more deep and melodic with a big female vocal. The track is a lot of my friends and family’s favorite record of mine yet and I am really proud of that.”
Diskull has been on a wild ride since last year, when he won the EDC Las Vegas Discovery Project for his remix of SIDEPIECE’s “Acrobatic” on Insomniac Records, which resulted in an official release and a massive set at EDC. The buzzing producer also runs his own record label Groovy Bone, which he launched in 2018, having hit #1 on Beatport in tech and bass house multiple times while receiving support from the likes of Shiba San, Showtek, and Dash Berlin.
