“Does it get easier?” a somber woman asks as the track plays up, “No” answers a male counterpart further down the line. Oh mystery man, how did you know? Yes, life’s a bitch and then you die, that why we get high yada yada yada– You know how it goes. DJ Boring appeals to this message better than any other in “Lonely Valentine”. The track, although starting off on a sadder note, builds up towards a head bobbing situation where, even though life can get in the way, the listener will somehow feel like it’ll all be okay.

This Australian born, UK-based producer builds his this track within the realm of what some would coin as Lo-Fi house music, which for the most part is a sample-based style, adorned with high hats, funky drums and synth elements. All of these components and more dynamic ones are featured throughout “Lonely Valentine” as well as in the rest of the Different Dates EP.
Don’t be fooled by the name, DJ Boring is anything but that. He will sooth the piercing reality of love and life through the use his track construction and charming sample selection. Listeners may even find themselves falling in love with the man because of this!
