Bursting with personality and sharing a theme of a unequivocal strength, the single “Impact Weapon,” is ironically a tool of positive impact through it’s quality creative structure and amped up presentation. The single showcases an anti-establishment vibe through the IRL authoritative PSA sample which blares an officer ranting through a megaphone. This creative implementation is juxtaposed with explosive basslines that shatter any expectations that could of been predetermined by a listener.
Hyper has been well-recognized for his dystopian focus, his music even being picked up for the E3 trailer of video game Cyberpunk 2077 as well as featured in the film Blade Runner 2049. If anyone knows how to zone-in on this popular theme righteously with sonic theatrics that are genuine and extremely far from gimmicky, it’s Hyper.
“Impact Weapon,” is signed to mau5trap and is the first singles off the upcoming Control EP. The EP is more than likely going to continue the theme which this single lays the groundwork for, meaning the vibes are set to get darker, more adventurous, and down right dirty all things considered.
