It’s hard these days to get a track really stuck and embedded in your head. With the the amount of new tracks, albums, festival sets, and everything in between, we all are going through a barrage of music. However, when that one track hits the sweet spot, then it’s game over, as you continously play it day in and day out, while humming it internally during meetings, dates, and everything in between.
Today that track is “Pick Up” from DJ Koze’s newest EP that bears the same name. After going through a little break, Koze returned in 2018 with the complex and deep, yet uplifting, vibes of Seeing Aliens. Today Stefan Kozalla, aka DJ Koze takes his talents and prepares up for a long summer of dance floor movin and groovin. Taking samples from the classic soul break-up song “Neither One Of Us (Wants To Be The First To Say Goodbye)” by Gladys Knight & The Pips and Melba Moores’ “Pick Me Up, Ill Dance,” it’s a track that exudes the talent and skill as a DJ for Koze.
