Notorious within the electronic music scene for compiling large-scale rankings, DJ Mag has just revealed the results of the 2014 edition of their annual Top 100 Club poll. Over the past few months, club goers from all over the world have been voting through the DJ Mag website, with votes ultimately being the deciding factor in the construction of the list. Taking the top spot this year is the distinguished 7000-person capacity club, Space Ibiza, followed by Brazil’s largest venue located in the midst of the lush jungle; Green Valley club.
Perhaps the most remarkable new entry, as well as the first U.S club to be ranked, is the posh Las Vegas venue, Hakkasan, which has debuted at the #10 spot on the list after it opened nearly one year ago. The results of the poll are quite comprehensive, with some very diverse clubs included in the ranking in addition to the well-known, and established venues in the dance music scene. Some other noteworthy clubs on the list include London U.K’s Ministry of Sound, Washington D.C’s Echostage, Pacha NY, Circus Afterhours in Montreal, Canada, and Toronto’s The Guvernment.
