Don’t worry. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will not actually be coming to a club near you anytime soon, twerking and throwing cakes. However they did hit the decks at the Northern Sound System near Adelaide, Australia, spinning for a crowd of 5,000, under the direction of DJ Shane Peterer on Wednesday, April 23rd. They were certainly the most prim and proper DJs we’ve ever seen behind the tables.
Prince William actually admitted in front of the press to liking house music, but we won’t hold our breath that he will be popping up at a rave anytime soon. William also added that he enjoys rock n’ roll, the classics, and some R&B here and there, but that he’s not a big fan of heavy metal.
As if the EDM world needed anymore proof that ladies can mix it up even harder than the boys, the Duchess of Cambridge brought the heat. Kate Middleton schooled her husband on the turntables, who sounded like he was trying to drown a cat compared to his wife’s smooth spin. “She was fantastic, but he can fly a helicopter,” DJ Shane Peterer commented. “So horses for courses.”
