Just in time to get your weekend kicking on one hell of a high note, DJ S.K.T comes rolling in with the premiere of his hottest new hit “Lipstick & Perfume.” This catchy, funk-induced tune is roaring with an old-school 70s vibe and contagious baseline that will get your body bumping to the beat in no time at all. It’s easily one of our favorite tracks of the season.
The making of his latest tune is similar to the Brits sound and style, smooth and seemingly effortless. DJ S.K.T said:
I was browsing through some old records and came across this sample, which sounded really cool. I threw it into logic and sped up the main sample, cut up the single brass stabs in the track and replayed them to give the track some movement. It all came together really quickly, and I ended up with a wicked track that’s been getting great reactions where ever I play it…really looking forward to teaming up with Big Beat on this release and am excited to get it out there!
DJ, producer, and all around tastemaker ,DJ S.K.T first catapulted onto the scene in 2013 before releasing his smashing 2015 hit “Take Me Away” on Atlantic Records. Known for his unique productions involving deep and soulful house, garage, and experimental bass, which he displays on his weekly show on Kiss FM, this UK talent quickly won over support from music mavens like Annie Mac, Pete Tong, and Danny Howard. Back in March, he released a massive 60-track tech house compilation for PURE before heading into the summer with his remix of Disciple’s “Atheist. Other highlights this year proved to be his “Must Be a Reason” included on Defected’s Most Rated 2018 compilation and “Get Up” in the Defected x Relentless campaign.
