The collaboration between indie artist DLG. and Orange County duo Koastle has produced another striking moment in their growing catalog. Their new single “Erase” finds the two acts blending heartfelt songwriting with textured electronic production, a combination that highlights why their partnership continues to resonate.
“Erase” carries the weight of lived experience. Written in the wake of a four-year relationship and inspired by Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, the track turns personal reflection into a widescreen indie-electronic statement. Recorded at Spotify Studios in Los Angeles and completed during a cabin retreat in Tahoe, the single draws on both intimacy and atmosphere. DLG.’s vocals cut through with raw honesty, while Koastle’s layered production expands the song into something both grounded and cinematic.
For DLG., this release is part of the steady climb toward his debut album, due October 10. With more than 50 million streams already to his name, the Austin-born, Los Angeles–based artist has been recognized for his ability to move between genres with ease, drawing comparisons to names like Mac Miller and Tame Impala. His creative direction extends beyond sound—his debut album’s artwork was developed with his mother, a painter and sculptor, underscoring the personal roots of his project.
Koastle, the duo of Andy Mueller and Brett Beaudette, bring their own perspective to the track. Known for their shimmering, experimental take on indie-electronic music, they’ve been supported by outlets like Lyrical Lemonade and Early Rising, as well as artists including The Chainsmokers, San Holo, and Louis the Child. Their sound gives “Erase” both movement and scale, complementing DLG.’s lyric-driven approach.
Together, the two acts have created a track that feels as much like closure as it does a new beginning. “Erase” is both a reflection on the past and a step toward the future, setting the stage for DLG.’s first full-length release.
