16 year old drummer and producer DNMO is currently at the top of the game in the electro-bass world. After skyrocketing his career with remixes the young producer has become a staple on Zeds Dead’s “Deadbeat” label. His signature mark is a driving bass sound that incorporates elements of pop and electro in its production. DNMO’s most recent release with vocalist Nevve attests to that signature sound. “Hollywood” is the newest track these two ascending producers have fused their creative talents to produce.
Right off the bat DNMO puts forth an upbeat melody to match Nevve’s soothing, warped vocals. Nevve is no stranger to collaborating with electronic artists as we saw on her heavy hitting collaboration Illenium, “Fractures”. However, on this track DNMO employs a more electro-bass driven production that is packed to the brim with powerful horns. The tranquil melody will have this two minute track creeping up on you faster than expected. “Hollywood” is a welcomed release of Deadbeat and surely not be the last from this rising star. Here’s what DNMO had to say about the track and be sure to keep your eyes peeled for more of his releases.
“Working with Nevve was an amazing experience because she has one of the strongest voices in the game right now. We weren’t able to connect on a previous song we started over the summer, so we wanted to figure something out. ‘Hollywood’ was the outcome and I’m extremely proud of the tune. Hope you all enjoy it!”
