In case you don’t know them yet, it’s time we introduced German bass duo Donkong. The guys are already veterans of the genre, with their No Boy EP in 2017 and Invaders EP this summer being well received by ravers everywhere. So far, they’ve had releases in the hip-hop, bass, drum and ever trap genre, which showcases their ability to bend and reinvent their sound. This time, it was Plang feat. Ka Next Level that caught our attention.
What happens if you place a microphone six feet away and start making percussion loops with all the stuff you have laying around in this room? Rhythm. One of the most important aspects of dance music. We will never reproduce the magic timing of this record. It is as original as it can get.
Plang has drums, a Caribbean style, energy and great production behind it. What’s more, great vocals from Ka Next Level aka Yung Coconut are featured on the track. Honestly, we just want to close our eyes and chill on a beach somewhere in the Atlantic. If you’re stuck working like we are, take a break with this awesome release and dream a bit of the next holiday.
Now that we got the taste of their music, we are sure to keep an eye out on what’s coming next for the duo.
