Doppler Labs, the makers of DUBS Acoustic Filters, has just launched an in-ear noise and volume control system that is not only going to transform your concert listening experience, but also the way you hear in every day life. Two wireless ear buds are controlled by a smartphone app, allowing you to be your own personal sound guy, adjusting volume and equalizing noise, ending in a perfectly customized audio experience.
Not a headphone, Bluetooth device, or hearing aid, the Here system is the first of it’s kind using groundbreaking technology and yet a simple design.
A series of signal processing algorithms target specific frequency ranges to modify sound as it enters your ears. Here captures the incoming sound waves, processes the audio in real-time and plays it back without any perceivable latency (e.g. in less than 30 microseconds, which is 1/10,000th the time it takes to blink your eye).
Doppler Labs has unveiled their brand new product exclusively on Kickstarter, where they are already over halfway to reaching their funding goal of $250,000. The first 1000 backers to pledge $179 or more will be the first to receive the Here, listing at $249.
Be sure to check out the DUBS truck at Bonnaroo coming up next weekend, June 11-14, and keep an eye out for more amazing things to come from this innovative start-up company.
