Dr. Dre is quite the romantic, as we can see in this 1995 letter that Roger Gastman has dug up. He tells his darling he’s glad that she has “come home to your doctor” and he wishes he was “all up in that ass”. Aside from his love letter, he talks about being in Nevada and seeing a bunch of people setting up a giant wooden man. He tells her that somebody should start making money off of it, and he was going to have his office look into it.
Guess he thought it wasn’t worth the investment, who knows how Burning Man would have been different today if Dr. Dre had gotten involved. Maybe we would’ve seen a more hip-hop based line-up, or a more main-stream audience may have been attracted to the ideals that make up the foundation of Burning Man.
