It cannot get better than this. The techno godfather Adam Beyer and electronic stalwart Awakenings have partnered up to produce and launch a Drumcode festival to be held in Amsterdam on the 18th August 2018 and this is the best news we’ve heard in a long time for music in Europe.
What began as a small label 21 years ago in Stockholm, Sweden, Adam Beyer has transformed it into a worldwide phenomenon. 16 million people tune in to Adam Beyer’s Drumcode Radio show every week and the imprint continues to be the best loved and highest selling in techno.
The relationship between Adam Beyer and Awakenings started in the late 90s and he has played a staggering 75 shows for the Dutch event production company. This year, Adam played five Awakenings events in total, including two sets each at Awakenings 20th anniversary event at the Gashouder in April and Awakenings Festival in June.
Drumcode’s debut festival will take place at NDSM in Amsterdam North, a former shipyard located on the banks of the River IJ. Keep your eyes peeled for further info coming soon.
