Often referred to as the kings of Brazilian bass, Dubdogz has been continuing to dominate the world EDM in 2023. Made up of twin brothers Marcos and Lucas Schmidt, the pair started off the year with their house heater “Mission Impossible” in January. They followed this up with an infectious release on Spinnin’ Records called “I Don’t Mind”, featuring Selva. Furthering their momentum, Dubdogz has linked up with Maxximal and MC Hollywood for their new single, “Oi Oi Oi”.
Paying homage to Talking Heads iconic anthem “Psycho Killer”, Dubdogz inserts lyrics from the original into a catchy percussive-centric banger. Dropped on HUB Records, “Oi Oi Oi” draws inspiration from Maxximal’s viral sensation “Super Bitch 2.0”. Additionally, Dubdogz innovatively weave a sample from MC Hollywood’s “Rapidamnet Trem o Bumbum” to spice things up. It is overflowing with crisp drums and vocal chops that are guaranteed to light up the dance floor.
Talking on “Oi Oi Oi”, Dubdogz shares, “we’ve played this track practically in every show. It is one of the most awaited songs and the crowd responds very well to it. Sing along, dance. It is one of our main songs these days and, even for that reason, we can’t wait to officially release it!” With a packed schedule of exciting upcoming performances and mesmerizing projects in the works, Dubdogz is on a mission to do the impossible this year.
