The UK duo Dusky has recently dropped two new tracks, “Ingrid is a Hybrid” and “Sort It Out Sharon” in anticipation for their long awaited sophomore album Outer (preorder here) set to be released October 14th. In addition to the new tracks, they’ve also announced a 15-stop North American tour to promote their new album. Stops include major cities like Washington, DC, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, a stop at III points Festival in Miami, and a 4 hour set at Lot 613 in LA, among many more.
Dusky’s forthcoming album Outer represents where the London duo have come since the beginning, and showcases them “drawing on our wider influences and exploring sounds beyond our DJ sets.”
The first track they released “Ingrid is a Hyrbrid” is a perfect showcase of something a little different and new for them, but still has the exact Dusky sound we love and expect from them. A little singing and some good simple vocals set this track off, along with an upbeat melody and smooth bassline that swoons you right in.
The second track, “Sort it out Sharon” is something like an ode to old school techno warehouse vibes, featuring vocals from Wiley, the grime king himself. Spitfire raps and some dark gritty beats set the scene for this one.
Pre-sale tickets for the tour starting in Washington DC go on sale August 3rd, for those who sign up at here. Check out the tour dates below:
