Move over STS9, DUX has his own jam/funk sound style that’s catching on. This one is packed with a soulful and immaculate voice expressed brilliantly with Stan Taylor entitled “Lady Of The Night.” Electronic syncopated arpeggios parallel alongside an instrumental-meets-pop sound in the second half, allowing the energy to rise to a captivating, grant degree which leaves an impact.
Cali-based Jonah Mclean, aka DUX’s, background is a multi-instrumentalist and engineer who has a love of the classics. His music tends to breathe some sort of funk. DUX’s forthcoming EP Sarita is out June 8th, so be sure to look for it. And you can expect more on the horizon with this up-and-comer.
