UK dance producers Eats Everything and Lord Leopard have teamed up for a two track EP entitled Clash of the Tight-Uns that showcases both of their talent and musical personalities within the tech house genre. The first track ‘Song For’ is reminiscent of Eats Everything’s iconic ‘Dancing (Again!)’ with its electric vocals alongside the atmospheric bass and repetitive beats. Perfect for a foggy underground show that have become the UK artist’s go-to of late, in terms of performance, ‘Song For’ is sure to reach the heights of classics ‘Entrance Song’ and ‘Big Discs’. On the other hand, ‘War Rhythm’ has a darker feel and feels a little more inspired by techno, which is the type of music Lord Leopard is known for. With the addition of vocals accompanied by a funky beat, both tracks go hand in hand and pair effectively, necessary for such a short EP length.
Eats Everything, or otherwise known as Daniel Pearce, made his DIRTYBIRD debut six years ago in 2011 and after a BBC Radio 1 residency, he featured on Claude Von Stroke’s label 10th anniversary compilation again. 2011 was also a big year for Pearce because of the release of ‘Entrance Song’ on Pets Records and he began to receive critical acclaim on Hypercolour and Futureboogie labels after producing bass, garage and jungle music. Lord Leopard, from Cornwall, previously worked together on former NRK boss Nick Harris’ label Edible Records to produce his debut EP Mark Of Passion/Fantastically Well.
