With over 400,000 headliners spread over three days, EDC Las Vegas has come to an end. However, as promised, we were introduced this year to eight purely epic brand new stages. So let’s review year after year Insomniac sets the precedent for production value throughout the world.
funkHOUSE
Bringing more character and happy vibes to the landscape was the aptly named funkHOUSE stage, brand new to EDC Las Vegas. The colorful 360-degree stage structure is made completely out of found and recycled materials, including the decor and classic vinyl records gracing the walls. The stage lineup featured the best of Groove, Disco, Soul and Hip-Hop, transporting fans back in time.
stage7
Hosted by 7UP, this special stage featured the house and tech house sounds of Toolroom Live on Friday. Saturday’s lineup of star up-and-comers blurred genre lines with the likes of Hook N Sling, Dr. Fresch, and Juliet Fox, while Sunday finished out with a powerhouse of all flavors of house. Who doesn’t enjoy a free balcony to get an epic view?
neonGARDEN
All you needed to do was follow the beacon of light, and this amazing teepee with a chandelier of light droplets had you getting down to the best techno, tech house, and deep house there was to find. With legends Sasha, Carl Cox and Dubfire, along with the best of Dirtybird including Green Velvet, Claude von Stroke, if you wanted a bassline that never stopped, then you were like the hundreds there that never left.
wasteLAND
For festival goers who are drawn to the harder styles of dance, the wasteLAND stage, hosted by Basscon, featured nonstop Hardstyle performances on a brand new stage design. DJs spun from the torch of Lady Liberty, surrounded by 32 wrecked, graffitied cars, freight train containers and one military helicopter.
bassPOD
Lasers, fire, and light being pelted at bass heads from all angles fueled by dubstep, jungle, trap, drum & bass, and everything intense in between. Feeling like you were in an intergalactic battle, battle bots were seen everywhere, but in peace dance offs.
circuitGROUNDS
The epic stages of EDC Las Vegas showcased the best in creative design and state-of-the-art technology including the circuitGROUNDS stage, which captivated fans with mesmerizing LED video panels, 452 lighting fixtures and six confetti blowers.
cosmicMEADOW
With grass to chill out on, the speedway to get an inclined view, or the grandstand to get an owl’s view of the stage with the nightly fireworks included, the choices were endless. And with performances by Bassnectar, Seven Lions, Dillon Francis, Flume, Moby, and other incredible artists, the incredible full stage-width visuals were mind-blowing.
kineticFIELD
Insomniac unveiled the brand new kineticFIELD stage, dubbed the Crystal Village, drawing its design from the inspiration of the four elements – Earth, Fire, Water and Air. The massive stage spans an incredible 480 feet wide and stands 100 feet tall, making it the largest stage in North America. One thousand lighting fixtures, 6,500 video tiles, 40 lasers, 22 flame units, 15 confetti blowers, 400 tons of steel, and two massive waterfalls made the stage appear like a living, breathing piece of art. Over 60,000 fans gathered at the kineticFIELD stage to witness the best performances in dance music. This year’s kineticFIELD was more than just a stage; it was an all-encompassing sensory experience.
