We have all had ups and downs since March 2020. We have all been yearning for some sort of normality, and after EDC Las Vegas had been canceled and rescheduled multiple times, for the festival to actually happen with thousands of other Headliners with biggest festival footprint that Insomniac had ever produced, to say that we were all elated would be an understatement.
With eight immense permanent stages, multiple art cars for performances, over a dozen amusement park rides, and unique experiences such as Nomadland, NFTs, and two wedding chapels, Insomaniac did EDC justice with it’s 25th anniversary celebration in Las Vegas.
One stage that needs special attention this year is neonGARDEN. While neonGARDEN has always been the intimate and underground stage for everyones favorite techno artists, nobody would have ever imagined the super-sized stage as it was produced this year. Starting off as a small tent, and then a tepee, this year’s stage was the size of an airport hanger, with amazing lasers, lights and all of the visuals that never went too far, but delivered you a realm that was hard to ever live. Eli Brown, The Martinez Brothers, Charlotte de Witte, Enrico Sangiuliano, Reinier Zonneveld…. the list goes on and on. Spectacular would be an understatement.
Another stage that never misses a beat is obviously the main stage, kineticFIELD, however if you were there or saw any clips online, the one thing that nobody was expecting to be adding to the awe-inspiring fireworks were drones! Delivered in animated visuals such as a flying owl, or the 25th anniversary logo, nobody could keep their eyes off of the sky.
Purple Disco Machine was at the top of our list for the entire festival, and our favorite set at kineticFIELD. To say that the man is a disco wizard would be an understatement. Other noteworthy sets at the main stage included Seven Lions, Alesso, and Andrew Rayel. You can’t be a bad artist if you play at the main stage, so congrats to all of the other artists who had the privilege of playing there.
Last but never least, we can never forget the hours of endless work and impeccable performances by the dancers, actors, and performers that travel through the maze of the Las Vegas Speedway for three days straight, putting smiles on everyone’s faces with unique costumes, tricks, and endless energy. EDC wouldn’t be what it is without them:
Here at RaverRafting, we would like to thank Insomniac for once again allowing us to come and document the amazing journey and 25th Anniversary celebration of EDC in Las Vegas. We are beyond grateful for the opportunity. Every year brings something new and mind-blowing to our experience. EDC wouldn’t be as successful as it without all of the amazing Headliners who travel in from every corner of the world, so thank you all for coming out and making it another beautiful event.
Look out for more EDC Las Vegas 2021 reviews of the stages and Camp EDC coming soon! We will see you under the electric sky in 2022!
