With over 250+ artists taking us under the electric sky this coming May 17-19 at EDC Las Vegas, it can be difficult to pick and choose which acts to see. Our list of must-see’s is relatively long, however, there is one artist in particular that is at the top of our list, Scottish-American DJ/producer, Declan James.
Declan James took the dance music community by storm in 2016 with his breakout single, “Orion,” which garnered support from industry greats, Porter Robinson, Above & Beyond, and Armin van Buuren. The producer’s discography is overflowing with melodic trance and progressive house, however, he has recently moved away from those genres and reinvented his sound.
The rising star has shifted his musical vision to that of techno, where he has found inspiration by new era artists that are redefining the genre. Declan is working to join the ranks of his peers, Raito, I_o, and Pleasurekraft, as he masterfully curates an extrasensory, unique brand of surrealist techno. With this brand new chapter in his career, it’s only fitting that he unveils his new sound at the one of the nation’s largest music festivals, EDC Las Vegas.
