EDC Las Vegas is rapidly approaching and it’s coming with a lineup that is one of the most diverse and expansive in the history of the festival. Leading up to the festival we’ll be shining the spotlight on some must-see artists, surprise sets, and stages you need to be grooving at. This week we’ll be shining the light on the mau5trap and Anjunabeats signee, Garrett Lockhart aka i_o. 2019 was an explosive year for i_o performing at nearly every festival on the circuit, however this is hardly Lockhart’s first venture into the electronic world as he performed under “Fawks” for several years and released tracks with Dim Mak and DOORN records.
The one man legend re-catapulted into the electronic scene under i_o in 2018 and landed tracks on mau5trap’s seventh installment of We Are Friends. Since then, he has been uniting the trance and techno genres with a sound that is unparalleled and undeniably infectious. In an electronic scene where trance and techno are arguably at their peak, i_o’s sound is a breath of fresh air that reminds us the two genres aren’t all that different.
i_o will be performing on Sunday of EDC Las Vegas which will likely be the perfect finale to a festival that is sure to be one of EDC’s best. Stay tuned for more news on i_o and EDC Las Vegas as we creep closer to dancing under the electric sky.
