Any raver can convince you that Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas is a must attend event. Uniting strangers underneath the Electric Sky is magical. Unfortunately, festivals like EDC Vegas can become controversial in the cities or counties they take place in. Those who do not attend the festival may find it to be unnecessary and a disturbance in the community. They are wrong. Today the American tour promoter, Insomniac, released the beneficial economic impact EDC Vegas has on the ENTIRE community.
The three day event is held at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. In 2013, EDC Vegas generated a whopping $278 million into the Clark County. That’s right one weekend = $278 million! Many of those who attend this phenomenal festival do not come for the festival alone. They will spend money on attending day and night clubs, staying in various hotels, eating at restaurants, taking transportation–and I’m sure the casinos are paid a visit, because after all it is Las Vegas!
“Nearly 95 percent of attendees traveled from outside the Las Vegas area for the event, accounting for an estimated 92,000 hotel room nights alone, generating $25 million in accommodations. Additionally, fans spent more than $45 million on food and beverage, $22.1 million in transportation, $19.6 million in gaming, $13.1 million in entertainment and $11.8 million on retail spending.”
The community that is Las Vegas is blessed to have EDC call them their home. EDC brings in an absurd amount of money that otherwise would not be brought into Vegas on this weekend. (News on the matter can be found on Insomniac’s website, with the source used to bring about where the dollar amount is generated from.)
Tickets for the event are on sale now, and will be sold out quickly. Jump on the opportunity. Join your fellow ravers for an event that will be kept in your memories forever!
See you under the Electric sky June 20-22, 2014!
