EDC New York is Soon to be in a Dreamstate

Insomniac’s latest trance venture, Dreamstate, is taking over EDC NY this year, with a recent appearance at EDC Mexico with acts like, Paul Van Dyk, Ilan Bluestone, Simon Patterson, and Solarstone. Dreamstate’s next stop will be Citi Field in New York. This will be the first time that Dreamstate comes to EDC NY and it’s looking to be featured at every Insomniac festival this year. Could this be Insomniac’s way of trying to rival Armin Van Buuren’s popular “A State of Trance” stage at Ultra? Dreamstate could be giving A State of Trance a run for its money.

EDC NY – Dreamstate will feature: Paul Van Dyk, Aly & Fila, John O’Callaghan, Ferry Corsten, Markus Schulz, Marlo, Simon Patterson, Ben Nicky, and Will Atkinson.

Ultra – A State of Trance will feature: Armin Van Buuren, Eric Prydz, Deadmau5, Aly & Fila, Andrew Rayel, Marlo, Ben Gold, and Khomha.

Both lineups are separated by about two months time and clearly feature very different acts. One can only speculate whether or not Eric Prydz and deadmau5 will throw down a trance set or not. Dreamstate’s lineup is looking way more classical ‘trance-y’ than ASOT. Who would you pick? Dreamstate or ASOT?
