The rumors proved to be true and Electric Daisy Carnival will be taking their act to Metlife Stadium on May 19th and 20th, just three weeks before their premier event in Las Vegas. The announcement was made official by Insomniac Events yesterday who also announced a partnership with Pacha NYC to promote the event.
Is electronic dance music bigger than we think? Not only did Insomniac decide to throw an event in New York City to compete with other established acts like Electric Zoo, but they made the announcement late and it’s so close to the Vegas date. The site doesn’t have any of the acts performing listed, with ticket sales going on sale March 2nd. Are we as fans just supposed to buy in that the event will be big enough to justify a trip to the big apple?
It’s also important to note that Pacha NYC will be hosting an 18 and under event at Metlife Stadium that same weekend too.
