This year EDC Orlando has a lineup that is tough to beat, this is sure to be EDCO’s biggest yet as they celebrate their 10th anniversary. Leading up to the festival we’ll be showcasing some of our must-see artists for this year’s fest! This week we’ll be putting Norwegian Producer and DJ Alan Walker under the spotlight!
Behind his trademark mask and hoodie is the mysterious 23-year-old, Alan Walker. Growing up surrounded by technology and a fascination with programming, gaming, and graphic design, Alan Walker quickly became inspired by the EDM pioneers of his time. Adding his natural love for film scores, Walker quickly linked up his inspiration and musical influences when he first started to experiment with music production. In 2015, he debuted his hit single “Faded”, amassing over 1.3 billion Spotify streams, and a massive 2.9 billion YouTube video views.
The single also left him with a BRIT awards nomination for Song of the Year, as well as a Norwegian Grammy win in the same category. Being the 19th most-watched music video on YouTube, it has since earned Alan multi-platinum certifications around the world, and billions of plays across streaming services. The chart-topping debut album Different World arrived in late 2018, amassing over 3.2 billion streams on Spotify.
