As we get closer and closer to our favorite Florida festival: EDC Orlando Nov 12-14th, 2021, we are zooming in on all the things EDCO. With a lineup that is tough to beat, this is sure to be EDCO’s biggest yet as they celebrate their 10th anniversary. Leading up to the festival we’ll be showcasing some of our must-see artists for this year’s fest! This week we’ll be putting Orlando natives duo Too Heavy Crew under the spotlight!
Two heads are better than one, actually, in the case they really are. Consisting of long-time friends and veteran DJs Carlos Maldonado and Francisco Costoya, the duo Too Heavy Crew is a tech/house music duo based out of Orlando, FL.
Although they each established reputations as top-flight producers and DJs, these longtime friends started to truly hit their stride when they combined their talents. Over the last half-decade, they’ve had notable releases on House Keepers Records, Rawsome Recordings, and Furious Funk Records. They received Orlando Weekly’s Best Electronic Act of 2019 Award, EDM Chicago praised their “outstanding energy,” and The Nocturnal Times wrote they are “constantly trying to push the boundaries with each vibe that dance music has to offer.”
They have released numerous records with booming basslines, infectious melodies, and drums that pulsate through your feet until you can’t help but dance along. Their most recent EP, ‘Satisfy,’ was their biggest hit to date, racking up streams by the thousands plus critical acclaim!
