People often say that the older you get, the less hard you work, but EDX seems to defy that norm with each passing year. The Italian-born producer must have discovered the fountain of youth, because he’s twenty years into his lengthy career and this year is looking to be his best one yet. His packed tour schedule included two massive North American tours that saw him travel across the continent for months at a time, and the Swiss talent still seemed to find time to work on chart-dominating releases, like his remix of “Show Me Love” by Sam Feldt, which has garnered over 30 million plays already. With only four months of the year left, EDX is closing 2015 with a bang, and his first course of action is unveiling “Belong,” his return to Spinnin’ Deep.
Combining strong, soulful vocals with deep hooks on “Belong,” EDX has managed to continually blow us away with his ability to deliver summer anthems with ease. While his remix of “Show Me Love” was a more upbeat affair fitting for the start of summer, “Belong” carries a deeper vibe that foreshadows the nostalgic days that come with the close of summer.
