Electric Adventure is set to return for its fifth year this September on the beach in Atlantic City. After a successful 2015 year, Electric Adventure has been placed under new management and its festival has been reformed and improved. With new stages, a new location, and a new batch of artists, this Electric Adventure is sure to be one of its best. Headliners DVBBS and Marshmello will have the honor of closing out each day of the festival. Two headliners are still being withheld, however it’s rumored that Excision’s name will soon fill one of the missing slots. As we anxiously wait for Electric Adventure to drop their phase two lineup, RaverRafting will be highlighting some of the best artists to catch at Electric Adventure.
Today we take a look at the well known and experienced producer, JOYRYDE. Son of Jon Phantasm (founder of Phantasm records), JOYRYDE hails from the UK and has been producing music since before he was a teenager. A true prodigy of his father before him, JOYRYDE’s first endeavor would be under the alias “Eskimo”. His first time in the studio came at the age of 9 and he would be considered a worldwide DJ by the age of 13. Producing primarily psytrance, Eskimo cemented himself as a premiere producer at a young age and would release his first album, “Can You Pick Me Up” at 17. Proving that no particular sound or genre define him, Eskimo would begin producing under the name JOYRYDE in 2015.
JOYRYDE would create buzz in the industry from his initial releases. Producing mainly bass house, JOYRYDE’s unique sound captivated listeners and his following on Soundcloud grew to 67,000 after a year of producing. His ever evolving sound sets him apart from your average producer and it can be identified in every release. JOYRYDE’s SoundCloud is also very unique in that all of his tracks are available for free download. Free downloads don’t come very often on SoundCloud, be sure to take advantage of this!
