It’s been over two months since Electric Castle announced the first artists who will take over the Transylvanian Banffy Castle this July. Now, the organizers are back with the second round of artists, which has made fans both surprised and excited about the festival’s sixth edition.
The announcement was made on March 1 as the festival wanted to give fans their own Martisor, in the form of an amazing lineup, as the Romanian tradition goes. The new additions were introduced during a live session of word search in which viewers were able to find the names of artists themselves, just a few second before the official announcement was made. Nearly 21,000 people tuned in and were not disappointed. Over 30 new performers have been added to the lineup, including Groove Armada Dj Set, Excision, Richie Hawtin, Tchami, singer Jessie J, and Mura Masa, Nothing But Thieves and others alongside previously mentioned players.
But wait, this isn’t the end. Even more artists will be added soon.
Electric Castle will take place on July 18-22 in Bontida, near Cluj-Napoca, Romania and is bound to be one worth remembering. Check out the full (so far!) lineup and more info about Romania’s most electric festival below.
