With almost three ticket tiers sold out before the line-up even came out and the rumored land issues with SFX, Insomniac’s Electric Forest had high expectations set upon them for this year’s line-up. Well, as a wonderful Valentine’s Day gift, this year’s E-Forest line-up has this event gearing up to be four days of incredible bliss with some very unique surprises thrown in. Let’s talk about this seriously, Electric Forest is going to be the one you can’t miss. We predict: ticket sales go through the roof today. Here are our top 5 reasons we are absolutely dying over the Electric Forest line-up.
1) The String Cheese Incident is Playing For 3 Days
Three entire days of getting to see the String Cheese Incident?!? In the forest?!?! Yes, this is going to be beautiful.
2) Ms Lauryn Hill
My jaw literally dropped when I saw this. She is one of our generations most talented lyricists and seeing her perform live will be the opportunity of a lifetime. Her soothing croons will be a tribute to the good ol’ days and will have you feeling all warm and nostalgic inside.
3) STS9 For TWO Sets
STS9 is the best to listen to when you’re getting free in the forest, combined with the good vibes and great people; this music will become the soundtrack to your life, in a good way.
4) The Whole Bottom Half of the Line-Up
Tell me you weren’t reading the line-up the first time like “Oh wow, Zedd that’s cool, Zed’s Dead hell yeah”… eyes move down to the bottom of the line-up and you probably looked like this:
I mean, c’mon, 12th Planet, Bro Safari, Destructo, Dusky, Dirty Phonics, Cash Cash, GTA, Kygo, Nanko and the Medicine People, Thomas Jack, AND Seven Lions? Not to mention the other hundred artists up there that are going to pack a killer show.
5) Huge Support to Smaller Artists
Their bottom-half line-up is bigger than any other line-up out there. Most line-ups have huge headlining names that are common to most festivals, then with smaller artists (which are actually huge artists) falling short or being put in an unfavorable time-slot. For Electric Forest, the larger names are uncommon artists that will put on spectacular experiences for the audience as well as support from some of the most talented artists in the world performing at one of the most unique festivals of it’s kind.
