Ticket? Check. Travel plans? Made. Outfits and camping gear? Bought. Next is the most dreaded part of the trip: packing. Having to get all of your stuff together is always a huge pain. No need to worry, we’re here to make it a bit easier on you with our complete essential packing checklist to make sure you A.) don’t forget anything, and B.) can plan ahead and figure out how to budget for all those last minute items.
Whether you’re a camping newbie or a festival veteran, you’ll definitely find this list to be a great reference tool to make sure you have everything you need. Besides, how can you even think straight knowing you’re about to embark on an adventure to the Sherwood Forest?

The Essentials
This is the stuff you definitely need to bring, we’ve gone ahead and separated it into different categories for easy searching & checking off your list!
Your Personal Bag/Backpack/Purse
This will be the bag that you will probably keep up front with you in the car, and on you for the duration of the weekend.
– Wallet
- Cash (gas/travel money, food, shopping)
- Your main credit/debit card (if you have other credit cards keep them in different places. i.e. one in your car, one in your suitcase)
- ID (if you have a second form of ID put it in your suitcase JIC)
– Electric Forest wristband
– Cellphone
– Cell phone cord/Portable cell phone charger
– Camelbak bladder
– Chapstick
– Cigarettes (if applicable)
– Flashlight
– Lighter
– Point & shoot or disposable camera
– Single pack of tissues
– Sunglasses
– Sunscreen
– Snapback tethered to the outside
In Your Suitcase
– Clothes
- When packing your clothes for E-Forest, you don’t need to pack specific outfits. Just pack a bunch of stuff that you think is awesome and cozy. First, go into your closet and grab your favorite stuff. Whatever means something to you, put it into your suitcase. Then, pack some seriously comfortable (and warm!) clothes for when you’re going to sleep.
- Note that the weather is expected to be fairly nice during the day, between 75-80 degrees. At night, it could fall between 40-50 degrees. Weather Channel currently says that there will be a 20% chance of rain over the weekend, but come prepared to harness the spiritual waters.

- Tennis shoes/Boots (at least 2 pairs JIC it rains)

- Headbands & hair wraps (to keep hair out of your face)

– In a side pocket or in the bottom of your suitcase

For Your Campsite
– Tent
- Stakes (Enough for the tents & tarps)
- Mallet/Hammer
- Tarps (1-2)
- Rain fly/rain guard

- Sleeping pad/Air mattress (Optional, but recommended)
– Lantern

- MiO or Powerade flavored “water enhancers” (also great for mixing with alcohol)

- Frisbee (use as a plate)

– Canopy (Optional, but someone in your group should have one for everyone to commune in)
