Revealed yesterday through a series of interactive fan announcements, the 6th annual edition of Electric Forest appears to be the biggest one yet. An absolutely top-to-bottom stacked Phase 1 lineup covers all the bases in typical EF fashion. Forest head honchos SCI top the bill alongside Bassnectar, who is set to make a very unexpected return after supplying one of the most memorable sets of the festival last year.
Quite possibly our favorite aspect of this year’s lineup could be the undercard. With EF, you know it’s going to be good…but this year it’s special. With names like Bleep Bloop, Caspa b2b Rusko, EOTO, G Jones, Manic Focus, Neon Indian, Ott, Papadosio, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Savoy, The Floozies and The Polish Ambassador among others, the “small print” is filled with gems that can easily headline on their own. Of all these names though, Caspa b2b Rusko falls into the “absolutely can’t miss under any circumstances” category. These two guys are the dons of dubstep.
This is just the beginning, so be be on the lookout for announcements regarding curated stages + Silent Disco in the coming weeks. Also keep in mind this lineup is still unfinished, and an eventual Phase 2 release will top off an already stellar collection of names.
