The wait is over. Today’s the day. As Derek Vincent Smith might say, the time has come. After months of anticipation and rumor upon rumor, we finally have the Electric Forest lineup we’ve all been begging so badly for. Our good friend The Festive Owl might’ve given us a heads up on a few names to expect, but nobody could’ve guessed a lineup of this magnitude was awaiting us this year in Rothbury.
First and foremost as always, The String Cheese Incident will be headlining this heavenly festival by way of another three sets of pure unadulterated jam. Take a look underneath though and you’ll find names like Bassnectar, Flume, Skrillex, Carl Cox, Claude Von Stroke, Gramatik…have your choice of big time performer. In true Forest fashion the undercard may be the best part, boasting artists like Minnesota, Mt. Eden, Russ Liquid, Exmag, Koan Sound, Crizzly and many, many others.
With names like Bassnectar, Skrillex, Kaskade, EOTO, and Shpongle this lineup calls back to the inaugural Electric Forest in 2011. It’s certainly a welcomed move on the part of Madison House, as they have long put together some of the most creative and forward-thinking lineups in the scene today. The thought of seeing Lorin return to the forest this year gives us goosebumps where we didn’t know goosebumps could even exist.
If for some reason you haven’t secured your weekend pass yet we urge you to do so immediately. Last year tickets sold out in record time, and in the wake of this announcement we can’t imagine it’ll be long before they’re all gone.
