Every festival has its anthems: the songs that get the most play, or the ones that suddenly sound better than ever when you’re in the right time and right place. As a fan of House and Trance, I’ll be remembering Electric Zoo 2012 with these five songs:
1.) Above & Beyond – Sun and Moon
[audio:https://raverrafting.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/03-Sun-Moon.mp3]If anyone doesn’t grasp what exactly Group Therapy is, Sun & Moon says it all. It’s the gripping track that Above & Beyond, as well as Dash Berlin, set off to make crowds melt.
2.) Language – Porter Robinson
This song was bound to be in Porter Robinson’s set, but when it found its way into Above & Beyond’s Friday and Saturday night sets, ‘Language’ gained a whole new meaning.
3.) Swanky Tunes – Here We Go
Swanky Tunes wasn’t physically at Electric Zoo, but their presence was unavoidable. Their sound makes festival crowds go wild, so it’s no wonder that many of the House sets included some tracks from this Russian duo.
4.) Sebastian Ingrosso & Tommy Trash – Reload
I’ve been waiting too long for this song to come out…and apparently it’s still not out, but Nicky Romero, Tommy Trash, and Axwell were pumping crowds up with it all weekend long. This one is so catchy my friends and I were still singing it on the ferry back to the city.
5] Don’t You Worry Child – Swedish House Mafia
It’s mooshy, but this song is the perfect soundtrack for the moment when you realize how lucky you are to be surrounded by your friends and by hours and hours of incredible music from the most talented DJs in the world.
Now we want to know: what songs will you remember Electric Zoo 2012 by?!
