An unpluricane struck New York City’s Randall’s Island today, August 31st, causing the cancellation of Electric Zoo day three for the second year in a row. Last year two unfortunate deaths resulted in an early ending, though, this year weather simply decided to not play nicely.
Roughly three hours into day three inclement weather struck, putting the safety of event go-ers in jeopardy. This lead to a quick evacuation with speculation that the gates would open again at 6:15 p.m. EST. However those rumors were quickly put to rest when Electric Zoo tweeted, officially canceling the event.
At the end of the day we’re happy no tragedy have been reported. Electric Zoo 2014’s early ending resulted in the cancellation of highly anticipated sets such as Jack U, Kaskade, ATB, Chase & Status, Alesso, Dash Berlin, Morgan Page and more.
