At the end of every Summer for nearly a decade, New York City gets transformed into the wild, electronic escape known as Electric Zoo. As is tradition, the festival has been announced to take place Labor Day Weekend, September 1-3, 2017 on Randall’s Island. Being New York City’s longest running electronic music festival, the 9th edition alludes to Electric Zoo’s history and well-deserved bragging rights to stake its claim as the city’s “6th Boro.” This announcement teased us to expect something unlike any New Yorker has ever experienced before. What exactly this will entail still remains to be seen, but we do know we can expect a wild weekend filled with its most loyal animals and the biggest headliners in the industry. Last year, Electric Zoo delivered both big names and a diverse lineup. Sprawled out amongst 5 larger-than-life stages, we saw acts like Porter Robinson, The Chainsmokers, Bassnectar, Tiesto, Big Gigantic, Lane 8, Claptone, and Joris Voorn.
