New York’s Electric Zoo has been hard at work making strides across the globe. They announced about an hour ago that EZOO will be taking its acts overseas, this time to the Land of the Rising Sun. This will be EZOO’s second international debut, following the first fiesta in Mexico, May 2014.
The event will take place on May 6th, 2015 during Japan’s Golden Week holiday on Makuhari Beach. There’s a fond history of honoring during this time including Children’s Day, a Japanese Memorial Day, Greenery Day (until 2006), and at one time, the Emperor’s birthday. It’s an uplifting week dedicated to love and positive energy; what better way to top it off than a premiere electronic music festival?
Additionally last month, festival organizers revealed that the 2015 experience will be completely transformed. Keep an eye out for its 7th incarnation, September 4th-6th, 2015. Members of WRR have been attending EZOO for years, and it’s changed many of their lives in a positive way. Instead of focusing on the negative, let’s try as a loving community to focus on all the good things it brought us in the past: amazing techno, killer lineups and great friends.
For anyone that can make it to Electric Zoo Tokyo…we are very envious. And we’re curious to see what the lineup will be…perhaps some J-Pop? Capsule maybe?
