Elements Lakewood, Let’s Do This – Direction Tips, Campsite Map, Set Times, and Other Last Minute Must-Knows

As you read this, campers will be making their way up to the rolling mountains of Northeast Pennsylvania to the dance music, adult summer camp asylum in the woods, better known as Elements Lakewood. We know how it is to be overly excited for a festival. You plan for months, weeks, and days, and when the time finally arrives, there’s always something you feel like you forgot to do, pack, print out, or check on (like if you’ll make it in time for a specific set on the day you arrive). As you prepare for what will undoubtedly be one of the most wild, weird, and wonderful weekends of your year, check out our list of must-knows and get ready for the madness to unfold at Elements Lakewood.

First and foremost, here’s a few tips we swear by to get you to the camp grounds safe and stress-free, and to help keep you dancing until the very late hours of the morning.

PRINT THE DIRECTIONS. If you’re driving, we cannot stress this enough. Most of us lost service just right outside the camp grounds last year. It was bliss to be disconnected from the world for the weekend once we were there, but it wasn’t pleasant until we actually stepped foot in the cabin. Pretend like it’s 1999 and rely on old fashioned, written down directions that Elements Lakewood has kindly provided. Typically, we’re all for rebel without a cause, but not when it comes to this, just follow directions.
PACK LIGHT OR BRING A WAGON. The festival grounds aren’t that close to the bus drop off, so it goes without saying that the lighter you pack, the happier your back will be. To help you gauge it a bit, it’s a much shorter walk than other festival grounds, such as what once was at Tomorrowworld, Mysterland, or even Camp Bisco.
PUT ON A FEW HEAVY LAYERS. Yes, it’s officially summer according to the calendar. But we will be dancing from dusk til dawn in the mountains, deep in the woods, and near a large body of lake water, so when the wind blows, it gets really cold. Leggings, sweaters, and some heavier layers will be well worth lugging in your suitcase so you can keep cozy and rock on all night long.

Exploring the stages all over the grounds and deep into the woods is one of the greatest adventures of the festival. Make sure to mark down the set times of your favorite artists so you don’t miss a beat. For those who love Father Claude and his children, the Dirtybird Players takeover the Fire Stage on Friday. Trust us, you definitely don’t want to miss this.
