Last Sunday, Elephante threw down at the Opera night club in Atlanta to create an irresistible fusion of brunch and electronic music. The patio was flooded with bottomless mimosas, free Coronas from the Corona Electric Beach team, and fans dancing their afternoon away under the Atlanta sun. A giant flamingo and wade pools were placed throughout the deck for those looking for a selfie friend or a place to cool their feet. Before Elephante took to the stage, attendees could play against each other in Jenga, Connect 4, or ping pong. The stage was set simply; no screen, no lasers, no smoke machines. It was an intimate set and it couldn’t have been more perfect.
Bubbles trickled down into the crowd as Elephante hyped us up, effortlessly switching between trap, electronica, house, and glitch hop. It was an incredible blend of music that the young artist has mastered. He got us shuffling to his remix of Galantis’ “No Money” and kept us floating from the energy with his rendition of Sander Van Doorn’s “Gold Skies.” In between these crowd favorites, Elephante gifted fans with his well loved tracks like “Catching On” and “Plans.” The decks shook with the energy and it was one big party that kept growing and growing. As the sun was setting and the champagne bottles began to run empty, it was finally time to say goodbye. He closed out his electric set with his most recent single “Troubled,” leaving fans with their hands raised high and satisfied. Brunch will never be the same.
