I constantly find myself asking, “how does this change the way I listen to the original?” Manic Focus‘ style is evident throughout his entire remix of Eliot Lipps’ ‘Mountain’. McCarten (his government last name) crafts a soulful flow by piecing together some elegant, vibrating background wobbles. Whereas Eliot Lipp is known for the simplicity of his masterpieces, Manic Focus builds a slightly more complex experience for us fans to enjoy; A respectful nod to its roots for sure.
