The Portland based trip hop producer, Douglas Appling better known as “Emancipator” has decided to officially expand his performance group to 4 members and become “Emancipator Ensemble”. Where he is usually known for performing alongside live violinist, Ilya Goldberg, taking on two new members will only make his music that much more immersive and dynamic.
The group is planning their debut at the end of November in CO followed by a massive EU tour for his latest album “Dusk to Dawn” which debuted earlier this year. If you’re nowhere near Colorado or Europe, no worries. Emancipator has released word that the tour will continue across the United States in 2014. Details on that will be available sometime in the near future.
