Emeli Sande – Next To Me (Basic Physics Remix)

Basic Physics is reinventing himself, steering away from the “mashup” artist mantra he may have garnered thus far. As he polarizes towards original production and remix efforts, Alex Syse took aim at Scottish singer/ songwriter Emeli Sande‘s ‘Next To Me’. The result is a big room progressive electro interpretation that even has a little accentuated hint of tropical soul in the breakdowns. He strings the melody along the vocal in a manner that’s just right, pushing the lyrics to the top of the track so as they aren’t actually consumed by it. Love music son.
