If you are like most frequent festigoers, chances you can’t afford to go VIP at every festival. With so much fun to be had, we want to be at as many fests as we can. Often times that means going general admission and putting up with the same things time and time again- long lines, portopotties, packing up your tent at the end of the weekend while searching for your phone that’s been dead since day 2. These are all things that just come with the scene, and while we accept them in exchange for amazing music, new friends, and some of the best times we will ever have, I’m sure most would agree that upgraded amenities and comfort wouldn’t be so bad once in a while. Granted those VIP amenities are pretty sweet, but if you want to have a good long festival season, you may only get to have that luxury once or twice a year. That being said, one might ask: when is the right time to go for that VIP upgrade?
If you were to ask me, I’d say the end of the summer; we wait all winter long watching for those lineup announcements and building up anticipation, so come springtime we’re just happy to be back in those lines again because it means we are one step closer to home. But after a long, crazy couple of months, maybe you are feeling a little worn out. The heat has risen, you’ve lost all the stakes to your tent, you’re starting to make school and work plans for the Fall, but you’re still not ready to throw in the towel.
There is still fun to be had and some of the best fests are saved for last. So before you pack up your gear, consider that VIP upgrade. Celebrate a successful season with your friends and go out with a bang.
Backwoods Music Festival is already looking like a guaranteed amazing time with so much to do. So if you are already considering going, now would be the right time to upgrade to amenities such as shorter lines, pool and lounge access, special viewing areas, and prime camping areas. This year Backwoods is offering multiple VIP ticketing options so no matter what your budget looks like you can still experience the comfort and convenience of VIP.
With a VIP ticket you receive special access in the festival grounds including the VIP Elevate Lounge featuring live music exclusive to VIP ticket holders. Also, you can choose from multiple lodging options, from comfort camping to glamping and even a cabin option.
Maybe you are up for the feat of that final summer fest but you still want to amp up your weekend. Some of us work all summer and come September we are finally free to enjoy our hard earned cash. If that’s the case then consider going for that Ultimate VIP ticket. Not only do you get all the amenities of the VIP ticketholder, you can experience additional perks throughout the weekend such as free ferris wheel rides, fire tower climbs, free golf cart rides all around the property, and a helicopter ride. You also get to have sit-down dinners with artists Goldfish, Isaac Teel from Tauk, and a special surprise guest on Sunday. What better way to round out an amazing weekend than these additional experiences offered in one of the best places, all while doing so in comfort?

As someone who has experienced VIP on a few occasions, I can say that it’s not always worth the upgrade. Sometimes the “special access” is nothing more than a sheeted off area with box fans and sparkly décor. There is no additional activities, no comfy camping options, and “exclusive bathrooms” really just means “exclusive portopotty”. However, by looking at everything included on their website, it’s obvious that the folks at Backwoods know what a real VIP experience is about. Tatanka Ranch is a beautiful place and has so much to offer, and by going for VIP you get to experience just what all that is. No matter what you choose, Backwoods is sure to be an amazing weekend. However, if are looking to go all out and want to know what a real VIP experience is like, Backwoods is the place to do it. As a wise woman once said, “Treat Yo Self!”
