Goodbye Monday blues — Eric Prydz just dropped his long-awaited debut EP under his alias Tonja Holma. While the name and music behind this Swedish producer has become legendary, he still continues to push his boundaries and amaze us through the workings of his many alter egos, like Pryda, Cirez D, and now, Tonja Holma. Today, the moniker delivered a four-track EP that exemplifies this dance music maven’s continued pursuit to explore new realms of house music and blow our minds in ways we never knew possible.
The self-titled EP is only the second release on the Eric Prdyz infant label Pryda Presents; the first came from his prodigy Cristoph, with his original mix “Feel” featuring Jem Cooke. Although this is the first time we’re getting in-depth exposure to the stylings of Tonja Holma, this isn’t the first we’re hearing from him. This alias has made appearances on several Prydz Essential Mixes over the years, dating back to 2007 and including his 2013 Essential Mix of the Year.
