Forget weekly, monthly, or even bi-monthly. It’s been over five months since Eric Prydz released a new episode of his famed podcast, so when you catch wind of a new one, you know it’s going to be a good day. In a market filled to the brim with quality podcasts and weekly shows, Epic Radio may reign supreme if for nothing else due to the exclusivity of each episode. With each one you can be sure to hear only the best of Prydz and his various aliases as well as numerous ID’s, and this one proved to be no different.
Today’s Episode #11 opened with one of Eric’s more recent uplifting tracks “Liberate” and from there it was nonstop ID’s and Pryda family favorites. Five out of the eleven tracks showcased were ID’s deep from the vaults of the Mouseville mastermind. Talented producer Jeremy Olander made an appearance by way of “Love Flight 2014”, and Prydz decided to wrap it all up with a Pryda classic “In My Head”. A nice touch on each of these episodes is Eric talking to you between each track, creating an intimate feeling of just you and him. Throughout the hour long journey Eric brings us up to speed on his travels, plans for the summer, a possible fall tour, and an update on his very highly anticipated album set for release later this year.
2014 has all the makings of yet another huge year for the immensely talented Swede. Already with set dates at Spring Awakening and both weekends of Tomorrowland, be sure to stay on the watch for additional dates as more information on his album gets released. Sure to be a contender for best album of 2014, all we can do now is cross our fingers it comes sooner rather than later.
